The most important reason for getting older is retardation of endocrine system functioning. According to the contemporary concepcion the process of aging is mainly due to deficiency of hormones (growth hormone, dehydroepiandrosterone, melatonine). The growth hormone regulates almost all of the functions of the human body. The hormone dehydroepiandrosterone decreases rapidly after the age of 40. Melatonine is an important regulator of the biological rhythm. |
